On Sunday, brad came over, we disconnected the master cylinders, carried the box down to the basement,

took it down, and now we suspect the reverse gear.

I am removing the paint which has been touched by brake fluid.

I had ordered new steering rack gaiters from Heritage, and they arrived.

On Sunday, On Sunday 17 Feb 2013, Brad came over, and we cleaned and prepped the steering racked, and then painted it with POR15.

We separated the engine from the trans, and painted the engine compartment.

Ed Mayer, and Chuck Linick also came over, and offered aid and advice.

Next: more detail painting, and diagnose and repair gearbox problem.

 

I painted the front subframe with POR 15.

and pulled subframe out from the front

We detached the drive shafts, and lifted off the motor.

The components that I could not see will get a redo, and then it is into the gearbox.
